About Flash Guitar

Meir Jakov Ifergan grew up in a house where music was part of the daily life and where every family gathering turned into a musical experience. Meir started playing guitar professionally at a young age and was part of a number of bands as well as a solo artist. After his military service, Meir worked in the Israeli aero manufacturing industry and concurrently learned music academically. It was during this line of work, that Meir learned the technical expertise in graphite fiber composites, which would eventually become the basis of FLASH guitars. One day, Meir drummed on the hull of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which was made of graphite fiber composite. The beautiful sound of antique, dry wood, rang in the hangar. Immediately, the idea FLASHED into Meir's mind to build guitars from graphite fiber – a musical instrument that integrates his technical experience as an expert in graphite fiber, the attributes of the unique material, and his love for guitar. Thus, in 1993 FLASH guitars were produced for the first time. Famous guitarists who were deeply impressed with FLASH guitars include Tom Petty, Trey Anastasio and John Fogerty.
